I myself always run from Queensway to Hougang (defu ) using Lorine road to braddel road ....44km to and fro ( 22km each )
My average 12---13 km/h and full tank run 380 - 400 KM
I always see ppl having 13--14.5 km/h , how to achieve this ? Please advice . ;D

Just be Gentle on the right leg, let the CVT gear do the job to move up to 80km/h and you still maintain at 1500rpm. ;D

Wow, that's very good fuel mileage. U travel mostly highway? Your fuel low starts blinking? or can push somemore? I can only hit best 500km , 80% highway, 20% city driving.

wah....i must say you guys must be really light-footed to get such good FC. my full tank the most will hit 400km and the fuel gauge will start blinking liao....sigh.... for me, i always step slightly above 2000 rpm when moving off from a stopping position. and on the expressway, i usually travel at the max legal speed. sigh...maybe that is why my FC is only about 12km/L or less.

I tried to stay below 2000 rpm from the start, even when I am on the highway it is below 2000 rpm as it already reach 90km/h. Most of the time I tried to stay at 80km/h on lane 2 which is around 1500 rpm.

I also getting 12.5-13.5km/l it depend you travel more highway or more city driving, for me 60% highway 40% city, beside light foot you also must ensure correct tyre size and tyre pressure and don't carry extra items in the car if you don't need it, but for a MPV with 1.5 engine it really have good FC.

That is correct and I try to keep my tire pressure 240 psi.

wah....those get the 500 Km above .. i must say you guys must be really light-footed to get such good FC. I also with full tank the most will hit 400km for me too, i always step slightly above 2000 rpm when moving off from a stopping position. That is why my FC is only about 12km/L to 13 Km/L
What is the idle RPM state ? Do you did a tuning ? 1 RPM or below..
Or Stopping at junction state , you gear did you put @ , eg , D or N or P ?
What is the different spark plug use (original) ? Any special modifier ?

Original spark plug for Sienta is DENSO iridium spark plug and it perform well for Sienta and it can last longer that normal one and changing spark plug don't help much for FC. For stopping at junction keep it at D and step on brake, shifting to N or P will not help to improve FC and may cause gearbox problem in long run, use N or P when car stop and engine still on (waiting for parking lot or someone). I also ever get 488km for one full tank when driving mostly highway, so plan your road and use more highway if possible, I can said you may use more fuel & time for shorter road by city but use less fuel & time for longer road at highway.

Most of the time I tried to stay at 80km/h on lane 2 which is around 1500 rpm. wow...looks like i have to significantly change my driving style if want to hit 500km per tank. and I always drive on the first lane, that's why got to waste petrol to maintain the high speed. at the rate that petrol prices are going, looks like really got to accelerate slow and stay on lane 2 liao...hehehe

Hi All ,
Thanks Bro Boyz for the advice , indeed it very details of the explaination .
For idle RPM it should be around 500-700 RPM. I am within . Original spark plug for Sienta is DENSO iridium spark plug and it perform well for Sienta and it can last longer .- I had not change yet .
I cannot plan the route as the daily route use .. Send child to school , and wife to work ...and then work ...
I try to stay at 2nd lane and keep 1500 RPM ...
