Another step is to off the a/c if possible. For me, i travel expressway 90% of the time and i'm on the road at 7am. So morning time, i will wind my window 1/4 down and enjoy the morning wind.

I enjoy looking at the Km/L Gauge. Once, I hit the expressway to Pasir Ris immediately after top up at Yishun and managed 21km/L.
My FC now is about 510km per tank. 65% expressway, 25% city, 10% idling.

Try not to use till the last fuel bar blink or else the fuel pump will overheat in the long run.

Impossible to get 21km/l one... Onli momentarily when fuel tank is full. Think the advertised (by Toyota) fuel consumption for our ride is at (best) 18km to the litre...so normal motorists like us should (under non-controlled condition/s) should come close to that figure...or usually lower... I have been on 16" rims from close to day one of ownership of this lovely ride...best fuel mileage I'd achieved was only 13-14 km/L. I'm usually on 98RON or higher. I've got lead insoles in the shoe of my right (accelerator) foot...thus my usual FC is at 11-12 km/L 85% of the time ;D ;D ...
