Just now went Spark Car Care (formerly Comfort Delgro) at Ubi to replace my brake pads. My car is almost 80,000 km and can see the front brake pads are very thin. The brake pads cost $105 for the 2 front pieces. Labour cost $38.25. Total including GST is about $153.
Have anyone changed the pads for rear disc drums? How can we see whether they need replacement?

The rear is called brake shoes for drum brakes. They will last longer about double the front brake pads since most of the braking is done at the front. Just ask mech to take out and service to clear the dust inside and check the brake pumps. Thanks & regards, Gerald.

Can anyone recommend me a workshop for labour charge to change the rear drum brake pad? One workshop charged me $60, which is too expensive.

Recently changed my front brake pads at MK Auto Workz. The mechanic got access to a stockist who can send the parts very quickly. So don't bother buying your own brake pads. Just go his shop and change on the spot. Should cost less than $100. Their contact and address at their Facebook page: m.facebook.com/MKAutoworkz/
