This is the lobang in Dec 2009 which I found for my tyres which is 175/70 R14. Decided to install Yokohama AA01 at Comfort Delgro at Ubi. They only carry Yokohama and Hankook tyres, hence my decision to go ahead with Yokohama. Price is $74 per pc excluding GST. Hence for 4 pc with GST, it will be about $317. However, Comfort offers free Tyre rotating and balancing everytime you go there for servicing. Also offer free tyre patching if u replace tyres there before. They also have Nitrogen gas replacement & top-up . and since I go there for servicing everytime, I figure it will be more economical in the long run rather than me going to outside workshop to do rotating and balancing which usually cost $20 each time. also there are other freebies benefits as written on their website: www.cdge.com.sg/tyres/tyresandbenefits.asp Hope other here can share their good deals with tyres!

Just changed mine the 2nd time.
Originally a Toyo - 175/65 R14 (very nice, quiet didn't jot down the model though!), guess i was lucky with the PI.
2 yrs later, changed to Falken ZE322- 175/65 R14 (sucks big time, feels floating, and easily worn out at the side), for 70SGD per tyre at Poh Heng.
2 yrs later, recently changed to Yokohama ES501 - 175/65 R14 (so far so good, quieter and better handling than the Falken 322, for 95SGD per tyre at Soh Brothers.

I changed mine once.
First was original. Toyo 175/65/14. Good handling both wet and dry.
Second was Toyo DRB 195/55/15. Used for abt 1 yr. Then puncture twice. Repaired one and replaced one with bridgestone.
Now thinking to change next yr. Will update again.

I am currentlly using 195/65/R15... So 185/65/R14 should be able to fit in as well... so does it mean that a particular rim can be fitted with different profile tyres of the same diameter as long as the tyre would brush against the wheel arch when steering or under heavy load?

Try using the correct profile as the speedometer reading will not be accurate if the wrong profiles are used. Orginal - 175/70/14 upgrade - 185/60/15 but since it is not common in S'pore 195/55/15 or 195/60/15 is recommended. Wheather the tyre brushes against the wheel arch also depends on the offset of the rims. To clear the arches for 15" you need to be below +38. +40 offset and above will hit the front brake calipers. Regards, Gerald.

So far, for 195/65/R15, i do not have much issue. As for the speedometer reading, it tally well with my GPS speed with no difference...

Just now went to Spark Car Care at Ubi to change to 4 new GT Radial CHAMPIRO 728 tyres which are 175/70 R14 (Sienta stock specs). each piece is $68. Total cost including installation is $291 after GST.
was thinking of buying online from tyrepac but after adding in installation cost, it will be more expensive. Spark Car Care also provide free rotation and balancing for future car servicing if you have bought tyres from them.
With a new set of tyres, the car feels quieter and more grip. By the way, what pressure do you guys usually pumped your tyres?

Bro & Sis, you can use this tyre size calculator to get the correct tyre size when you planing to change your rims size, fitted with wrong tyre size will causes speedometer not accurate, and the recommenced diifferent is +/- 3%. www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

Today just went to tyrequeen.com workshop at kaki bukit to change 185/65/R14 tyres. Brand is Westlake and cost just $232 including installation. Not exactly the freshest tyres cos year of production is 2nd half 2012. But i can't complain much at such low price. And they include free rotation and balancing and free patching for the tyres in the future if required.
I also chose to do front 2 wheels alignment at $35.
One question. Does our Sienta require all 4 wheels alignment?
