Hi bro,
When you changed to this size, did the shop never recommend or your own request ?
I tried 195/60/15 before but no hitting anything but fuel wise not so eco .....after that changed back to 195/55 .. till now..happy with 15-16km/litres ...80% highway...

you guys are really light footed. i can only achieve best 13km/L if I travel mostly on expressway and I am still on the standard 14 inch rims and tyres.

www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.htmlIf u refer to sienta manual, the original size is 175/70/r14 and 185/60/r15. Any size out of this u can use the a/m to check wat is the impact.

Seems like quite a great difference now Yes it is a lot of different, 195/55/15 is the perfect tyre size for Sienta, if using 195/65/15 will have knocking when turning and speedo problem, the different for speedo will be about 6% more which mean you travel 100km/h your actual speed will be 106km/h.

Just changed mine and the Tyre shop recommended me to use NEXEN 185/60/R14, so how is my speed affected now?

The tyre size can easily be explained:
xxx/bb/Rzz
xxx is equal to the tyre width, or the amount of contact the tyre have on the road. The larger the value, the more stable your ride. The disadvantage is slightly more road noise from tyre and lower fuel consumption due to more road/ tyre resistance.
bb is equal to size of tyre from road to rim. Lower value achieves lower CG and better handling, downside is might hit humps due to lower height. This also equates to less travelling distance per tyre turn and your actual speed is lower than speedometer speed.
Rzz is just tyre rim size.

i oso experience the de de de de sound when doing u turn or steering full lock turning. my mechanic say its due to the tyre hitting the fender. sigh.. i just had the car for a week. dun tell me i have to change the tyre
